Just received an email from Waste.uk.com, about the new Radiohead jackets. What makes these jackets cooler than any other Radiohead jacket? Because they are made from 100% certified recycled plastic PET bottles, a thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family and is commonly used in beverage containers.
We like this idea because for each jacket made, there are twenty-five less plastic bottles sitting in a landfill somewhere. Let's be honest, most of us don't really spend much time worrying about recycling the plastics that we consume. But for only £45 ($73) we can simply buy a Radiohead jacket and feel like we are doing something to help save the environment, or at least destroy it slower. I can imagine that these jackets would also make an interesting conversation starter.
Visit their official website for more details and to pre-order. Click here read more about the process of creating the fabric from plastic bottles.
