Trent Reznor Releases Free Social Networking Songs

Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor and his frequent collaborator Atticus Ross, were recently tapped for some soundtrack work for the upcoming Facebook bio The Social Network. The album, which is set to be released on Sony Records on September 28th, can be preordered here, but users can also get a free 5-song sampler of the album right now. All users have to do is visit that site and enter their email address for a link to the download. Users also have the option of preordering three different formats of the soundtrack, either CD, HD Blu-Ray Audio, or Vinyl. A quick message from Trent on the site notes:
This is what Atticus and I have been working on for the last few months. We had a great time working with David Fincher on this and the film turned out excellent - something we're very proud of. It opens in theatres Oct 1 and you should check it out. Musically, this all came out of our secret laboratory - electronic in basis, but mostly organic sounding. Lots of experiments and emphasis on sound fraying around the edges while focusing on the proper emotional tone for the various scenes. Regarding the purchase options, sorry about the "clunkiness" of not offering the full record digital download pre-sale (and having to visit Amazon). My agenda was to be able to offer this for the lowest possible price and this was the best way to achieve that. Amazon has been a great partner with past projects and I appreciate your understanding.
The full track listing is:
  1. Hand Covers Bruise
  2. In Motion
  3. A Familiar Taste
  4. It Catches Up With You
  5. Intriguing Possibilities
  6. Painted Sun In Abstract
  7. 3:14 Every Night
  8. Pieces Form the Whole
  9. Carbon Prevails
  10. Eventually We Find Our Way
  11. Penetration
  12. In The Hall of the Mountain King
  13. On We March
