Josh Homme Selected as National Record Store Day Ambassador

Queens of the Stone Age and Them Crooked Vultures front man Josh Homme has been picked as the National Record Store Day Ambassador for this year’s event. To be held this year on April 17th, National Record Store Day was started in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner as an idea to celebrate music by offering special one day buys and promotions on the day each year. Many stores have shows or other events, to find out what’s in your area visit http://www.recordstoreday.com. Josh takes on the challenge after his bandmate from Eagles Of Death Metal Jessie Hughes filled the role last year as ambassador. Josh explains the finer points of the even in the video below and mentions how some great musical finds can be found on April 17th. Plus it’s shot very classy, and features Josh tinkering on the toy piano. In his words, go out there and give yourself “the eargasm you deserve” this year at your local independent record store.
