LA Weekly Discovers Vitamin String Quartet

By 23

Thanks to LA Weekly for discussing our newest album, Per_Versions, where we covered numerous indie rock bands such as Cat Power, Animal Collective and No Age.
But the cover that struck us immediately was the Quartet's take on No Age's Eraser...We're actually suckers for string quartet versions of pop music.
They seemed to be a little confused about which bands we have covered. All of our albums are available through the Vitamin Records website. Read the entire LA Weekly article and don't forget to leave comments letting them know what you think.

Vitamin String Quartet Featured on Eye Weekly Daily Distractions

The Vitamin String Quartet achieve a lilting “House Of Cards” in their tribute to Radiohead’s In Rainbows.

By 23

[caption id="" align="alignleft" width="151" caption="Vitamin String Quartet Tribute to Green Day's American Idiot"]Vitamin String Quartet Tribute to Green Days American Idiot[/caption] Thanks to Andres over at The Green Day Authority for reviewing our most recent album, Vitamin String Quartet Performs Green Day's American Idiot. He had some nice things to say about the new album: "There's a certain tranquility in hearing Green Day's music represented through the quartet." And he may have hit the nail on the head when he observed, " I can't imagine a more niche audience for target audience, Green Day fans who also enjoy stringed arrangements." However, our goal is not only to reach this niche audience, but to spread our passion for strings to those who may never have given it a chance. Well, Andres, thanks for giving us a chance. We appreciate the comments, especially coming from one of the most highly regarding Green Day fan sites out there. Read the entire review here. Purchase the album here.
